By using The Swinging Light, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy.

Depending on how you use TSL, we may collect:

• Account information: such as your email address, username, profile information, and authentication details needed to create and secure your account.
• Content you provide: ratings, reviews, rankings, watch/read/play logs, diary entries, lists, collection information, comments, community posts, scores, and other information you choose to save or publish.
• Imported information: information you choose to import or connect from supported services or files, such as game libraries, collections, lists, or play history.
• Camera and scanner data: when you choose to use barcode, cover, or item-scanning features, the app may access your device camera. Camera access is used only to provide the feature you requested.
• Technical information: device, browser, app, diagnostic, security, and usage information that may be generated when you access TSL.

We use information to:

• Provide and maintain your account and TSL features.
• Save your ratings, rankings, diaries, collections, plays, reads, watches, reviews, and other activity.
• Provide personalized features such as recommendations, ranking tools, statistics, and discovery.
• Display information you intentionally choose to publish to Community Activity, reviews, rankings, profiles, or other public areas.
• Detect abuse, troubleshoot problems, secure the service, and improve performance.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our policies.

Some TSL features are personal by default, while others allow you to publish information to the community. Where a publishing control is provided, information is not intended for Community Activity unless you choose to publish it.

Reviews, public rankings, profile information, comments, and community posts that you choose to make public may be visible to other users and visitors.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate TSL, such as hosting, databases, authentication, analytics, security, content delivery, and other infrastructure providers.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the rights or safety of TSL or others, or as part of a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or transfer of assets.

If you choose to connect or import information from a third-party service, TSL may receive the information necessary to provide that connection or import. Your use of the third-party service is also subject to that provider's own privacy policy.

TSL may display metadata, artwork, descriptions, availability, links, or other information supplied by third-party data sources. Those providers may have their own terms and privacy practices.

Camera permission is optional and is requested only when you use a feature that needs it, such as scanning a barcode or identifying an item. You can deny or revoke camera permission through your device settings. Core account access does not require camera permission.

We retain account information and user-created data for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information. Certain information may be retained when required by law, for fraud or security prevention, or in limited backups until those backups are cycled out.

• You can choose whether eligible activity is published when a publication control is offered.
• You can change device permissions, including camera access, in your device settings.
• You can edit or delete certain user-created content through available TSL controls.
