We're Doug & Rachel.
The Swinging Light is really just an extension of the things we already love doing together — horror, board games, strange places, conventions, traveling, and finding our next adventure.
We didn't create a horror brand and then try to live the lifestyle. This was already us.

Of course we got married on Halloween.
And because getting married on Halloween apparently wasn't enough, we did it in a cemetery wearing all black.
Horror has never just been something we watch. It's woven into the places we visit, the things we collect, the games we play, and a lot of the memories we've made together.
Chasing the strange
We'd rather experience it.
Haunted locations, horror history, conventions, weird attractions — if there's a story behind a place, there's a pretty good chance we want to see it for ourselves.
Not everything has to scream
We're board gamers too.
Board games became another huge part of what we enjoy together. We play them, collect them, travel to gaming conventions and, naturally, argue about which ones deserve to rank higher.
That's why board games belong right alongside movies on The Swinging Light.
This is pretty normal for us
We take horror seriously.
Ourselves? Not so much.
The Swinging Light is supposed to be fun. We have opinions, we disagree, we rank things differently, and occasionally one of us ends up in a questionable situation with Ghostface.
