About This Book
"Robert Burns devoted his last ten years to writing and gathering Scottish folksongs, and at least one of his notebooks contained a collection of bawdy lyrics. For more than a century-and-a-half Burns' unique collection of bawdy songs was available only in garbled and bowdlerized versions. This unbowdlerized, completely annotated edition is based upon prodigious research and access to privately owned manuscripts"--Back cover
