About This Book
"The emperor Constantine, the first Christian emperor and founder of Constantinople, has been the subject of scholarly controversy for centuries. In this volume, the contributors examine the reign of Constantine from a variety of angles: historical, historiographical and mythical in order to reveal the various visions and representations of the emperor, from saint and patron of the western church to imperial prototype."--BOOK JACKET.
